Finding the perfect home should be exciting, not stressful. We’re here to keep your journey safe and secure every step of the way.
Safe Leasing Starts Here
Rental scams are becoming more common, and Rentyl Homes is committed to keeping your leasing experience safe. Always confirm who you’re speaking with before sending any money to rent a home. Follow these simple tips to protect yourself and your family from fraudsters.
Common Warning Signs of a Rental Scam
The biggest warning sign of a rental scam is being asked to apply for one of our homes anywhere other than our official website. We only process applications and leasing payments through rentylhomes.com.
Ads or listings have few or no photos, or images display another company’s logo or watermark.
Listings or applications appear unprofessional, overly vague, or contain typos.
The contact person uses aggressive tactics like repeated follow-ups or creating urgency.
The contact refuses to show you the property in person.
During a tour, you’re instructed to leave the key outside the lockbox.
Rent is significantly lower than comparable homes, or the offer seems “too good to be true.”
You feel pressured to make a payment quickly.
Payment is requested through wire transfers, gift cards, cash, or apps like PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
Security deposits seem unusually high, or no background checks are required.
You’re told Rentyl Homes no longer owns or manages the property.
You’re offered a “job” opportunity to post our homes on social media. Rentyl Homes does not hire or recruit independent contractors through Facebook, Instagram, or other similar social media websites.
Recommended Steps to Take Against Rental Scams
When you leave with Rentyl homes, we ask you to take the following steps to prevent rental fraud:
Send payments only through Rentyl Homes.
All rental-related payments must be made exclusively through our official website, rentylhomes.com.
Don’t use wire trasfers or person-to-person payment apps.
We will never request payments via wire transfer or through apps such as Zelle, PayPal, or Cash App. Any such request claiming to be from Rentyl Homes is fraudulent.
Protect your login information.
Never share your username or password with anyone. Rentyl Homes will never ask for this information. If someone claims to need your username or password to log in, it’s a rental scam.
Verify official email addresses.
Our employees will only communicate using email addresses ending in @rentylapartments.com.
Only apply through our official website.
Applications for Rentyl Homes properties are processed exclusively through our website, rentylhomes.com. We do not lease properties through Facebook, Craigslist, or other classified platforms.
Use trusted listing sources.
Approved Rentyl Homes listings can be found on our website and reputable third-party platforms such as Zillow, Trulia, HotPads, and Realtor.com.

Contact Rentyl Homes to report the fraudulent listing.
Beware of Job Opportunity Scams
Rentyl Homes does not hire or recruit independent contractors through social media like Facebook, Instagram, Craigslist, etc. If you’re offered a “job” opportunity to post our homes on social media, it’s a scam.
